Independent hairdressing training provider Ambition Centre for Training went up against some training heavyweights in the finals of the Scottish Training Federation Awards. Shortlisted for two awards, ACT went head to head with ReMIT and Forward Training Partnership to win the Provision of Quality Training Award, but lost out to Falkirk Council in the Success in Partnership category.
The win was announced at an awards ceremony on 22 September.
“It is fantastic to be recognised by the federation for the work we do,” said Isabel McKeown, co-director of ACT with Lynda McGivern. “But I must also thank our salon partners; our approach to training works so well because they are also dedicated to the accredited education their staff.”
