ACT in finals of top Awards
Ignore the excited squeals if you pass by our office this week. We are just so delighted to have been shortlisted as Member of the Year in the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
The overall winner will be announced today at the Sheraton Hotel, and while we still don’t know who we are up against, we can’t help being excited. It would be our fourth award, or fifth if you count the National Training Award for one of our trainees, Lyndsay Speirs of McCallum salon in Paisley. Two years ago, we became the first ever training provider in Scotland to win the Provision of Quality Training Award at the Scottish Training Federation awards for the second time. Last year, we won it again. We were also shortlisted for the overall Provider of the Year award and, of course, we got our Gold Standard in Investors in People.
Our team is dedicated to retaining the highest standards possible in delivering hairdressing training to young people. We believe that if you can give a young person the right start, through excellent education, they will be successful in life. So that’s what we work hard to do, for the young assistants in our partner salons and the young pupils at the schools we work so closely with.
We feel hugely honoured to be shortlisted in such a prestigious award, even if we don’t walk away with the trophy. Indeed, we are so happy, we even wish all the other shortlisted members all the best.
